Welcome! :D
Here on this new thread, I will aim to showcase the best dreamscapes and cosmick jams I come across that drift in the ethers, and what all types of psychedelic music in it's broad hypnotic variety has to offer to the masses. :!:
This has been my favourite musical style for a long time now for how potently it can whisk you away from your reality into all kinds of sundrenched and heated fantasy lands. It speaks to me with the power of musical transportation and for pure escapism, and I wish to present it encased in forum-dome!!! So join me, will you?

Spiritualized - Shine A Light (bluesy orchestral dream pop)

(Sentimental lovely chune, nuff said)

Ozric Tentacles - Tidal Convergence (space-rock)

(The shore of your private aquatic alien desert island calls to you, and you find yourself wanting to lap in it's waves, Erpland is the best entry point to get into this magical instrumental space/psych rock fusion band.)

Sunbeam Sound Machine - Sailing Away (psych pop)

(Nick Sowerby's album Wonderer is fuzzed and ready to send you it's warmth, a summer favourite)

The Flaming Lips - Peace Sword (Open Your Heart)

(Lips music for film soundtracks can be THIS good and put up there with the band's very best.)

Simian - Doba

(This band went on to receive notoriety for their collaboration with French House duo Justice who remixed their song "We Are Your Friends", but their debut album is an unheard of classic in my opinion, and what got me into psych in the first place.)

XTC - Jason and the Argonauts

(Though they went on to release Skylarking in 1986 which is up there with the very best bright psychedelia, on this song, with the first few seconds of an ascending and descending guitar riff + echoing percussion and the swirling stereo effects in the latter half of the track, criss-crossing rhythms gradually getting more surreal, I think this is where XTC's dreamy and vivid imagery began.)

lovesliescrushing - overdose (shoegaze)

Sustained chord angelic heaven of gothic proportions.

Absolutely, Camel's mellow moods are definitely in psychedelia's cauldron.

Todd Rundgren - Fair Warning

Expansive finality, this cosmic existential ballad that I would want played on my last day. Drift upwards.
Todd Rundgren, 1999 interview on Initiation for the Bearsville remasters wrote:"It was, I guess, my most flat-out statement of essentially my life's mandate, which is to not try and create a reality that you know can't be supported, and to not represent yourself to yourself or to others as intending to create what you know you're not going to do.
There was always a question as to whether I would ever settle down to a certain way of doing things, or a style of music that would be recognisable, whether the whole unsettling, unexpected nature of the things I was doing would finally dissipate and people could depend on me. The warning was: give that up, because I see the way that I do things is the way life is, which is, sure, you can plan your entire life out and set yourself in your golden years on your veranda, smoking your pipe, and then you can walk out in front of a truck and the entire grand life never happened. And that's the way life is. I never knew what was going to happen to me in the next moment. But you could say darn well it wasn't the exhortations of fans of the record label or critics."

These two songs feel sonically linked, through the soaking of sea water, one for daylight, and the other for moonrays.

The Holydrug Couple - Out Of Sight

The Verve - Beautiful Mind

I see vast waves with this one. You are alone in the ocean.
