Starting this thread as a way to build out my ideas for this singleplayer world. I actually didn't mean to start a whole playthrough, but while testing the update for the big modpack (which we have a server for, my boyfriend Parker kindly hosts it and it's open to anyone - message me if you're interested in playing some good modded Minecraft with a lot of building and exploration!) I got sucked into working on this world. This thread is open to discussion, but I'll be using it mainly to post screenshots and maps of what I'm working on. |

So this is where my settlement has been -- Lamb Stoop. It's on this little island embedded in a looping river, that forms a lung structure with a neighbouring area I'm calling Venita. I plan to build some form of city-like structures in that piece of land. I envision that the bigger chunk of land to the left of the stoop will also be of use, but I have no idea yet. I have the Waypoints mod for travelling to other areas in the world very easily, so I'm not limited to what's around my campsite. For now, I've got a small encampment on Lamb Stoop, with a simple tent structure, scattered storage, and a masonry setup. There are a few steep oak poles in the ground for a wool covering I plan to build. I've already gathered quite a bit of wool for the project. I am hoping that the Eastlimb Camp stays as this warm, inviting spot, and a reminder of where this world started. But I always think too far ahead when I play this game. This world wasn't even supposed to be more than a test to see if the two-hundred-something mods wouldn't crash together. But I got distracted one night, and now I've put enough time into it for this to be something worth documenting. I even thought about doing a website, or a zine -- too much time and effort, and I don't like using my Windows PC for much of anything except gaming -- so a forum thread will do good for now. And I love seeing the forum active and slowly forming as a core piece of the community. ![]() ![]() |

More photos of the actual campgrounds are coming - I am getting an HTTP error from phpBB when I try uploading certain screenshots. |
